OLIVER LEMSTRA BAKE,ARTISAN WINEMAKER :

"As the son of a winemaker, you might say I have wine in my DNA."

— Born in the Hospices de Beaune and growing up amongst the Grand Crus of Burgundy and the vineyards of Château Canet in the Languedoc , meant that vines, grapes and cellars, formed part of my childhood.

It was not long before I spent my summers in the vineyards and was helping out with the harvest in the fall. Continuing  on this path, I developed my savoir faire working in cellars in Mendoza, Argentina, far from home but not from wine!

Enriched by my experience and passionate about all aspects of winemaking, I decided to try my hand at making my own wine with Domaine d’O’s 12 hectares in the AOC Limoux.  A terroir blending my Burgundian roots and Languedocian upbringing.

THE GOAL

"Give a soul to my wine"

Revisit the Burgundy classics, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, here in the South of France in the piedmont of the Pyrenees.

2018, the first harvest at Domaine d’O, marked a new chapter for me. I hope you enjoy the  results as much as I do.

Cheers!
